Happy 2 week Birthday!

Here I am on my 2 week birthday. I had my well baby visit that day and I checked out great. I weighed in at 5lbs 13ozs and 18 3/4 inches long!
This is one of moms fav outfits. . . Again thanks to Aunt Laura and Grandma who bought Jr his first hoody. And I must say Jr looks very good in BLUE

My future buddies!!

Some of Jr's friends came to visit when we were home and settled! They all brought dinner in some way which is something I did not believe how much I would appreciate. Thanks again Shell, Megan, Michele, Jay, Jeff, and Colleen!!

My niece, Anna was also very interested in the baby, she is going to be a great big cousin!

Jordyn could not get enough of the baby! Maybe Jr will go for the older woman. . . Watch out Jeff!

Miss Ava hung out with us one afternoon. She showed us what to do with our Boppy pillow that we have not yet used!

Grant also came to hang out and have dinner with us! He is great and so fun to play with!!

One week old!

!
Here I am on my one week birthday! I am sporting dad's favorite sleeper that Aunt Laura sent all the way from North Carolina! We lobe Aunt Laura for providing most of our wardrobe since we unexpectedly needed preemie size clothing.

Going Home. . .

We did come home on Halloween afternoon, right after Jr passed his car seat challenge. Due to his weight he had to take a 5 point challenge in order to make sure he could breathe efficiently while being a passenger! He passed with flying colors, even though mom was still a wreck on the way home. She made Dad pull over once because she was too nervous!!
It was
so beautiful outside, in the 70's. . .

Don't mind the not so attractive hat. Volunteer ladies make the hats for the newborns and we are very grateful; as they are the only ones that fit his head. The color scheme not the greatest but it worked!!

Here he is wrapped in his ghost blanket getting ready to leave

More Pics at the hospital!

We spent the rest of the week in the hospital, till Friday, October 31st. . . Yes we were to come home on his first official Halloween. Needless to say he did not get to trick or treat or party at Uncle Kenny's house due to timing.

Grandma Sue adoring her first grandson!!

If you look closely at his shirt is says My 1st Halloween. His wonderful cousin Cassie brought this to him so he could celebrate his first holiday. It was of course preemie size, as that is all he could fit into. . .

And Frankenstein is in the background helping him celebrate. AJ, my godchild started Kindergarten this year and he had made this for him at school. We taped it to his bassinet while in the hospital, and all the nurses got a kick out of it!

Not the best pick of me but this was the first time I actually got to hold Calvin Jr.

So many visitors!

We were very blessed to have so many visitors to see the new little guy. Some people came to the hospital and some to the house when we got home!

Grandma Linda, Aunt Tammi, and Aunt Stephanie were soooo excited to meet you! They coudn;t get enough of you! And they say jr has thier hands (def not mine, his fingers are long and thin) and dads forehead and hairline!

Aunt Michele and her first nephew!

Cousin AJ and Cousin Char really wanted him to open his eyes but he was not listening! We are still unsure what color his eyes will be but they are looking a hazel green. He is going to have the girls looking for sure.

Uncle Jay meeting his new nephew for the first time.

Calvin Jr was born right in time to meet his great aunt and uncle before they headed out to AZ for the winter. . . I was so happy he got to meet them right before they pulled off; and they made it safely!!

HE has arrived and here is his story. . .

Well at my last doctors appt (Friday, October 24) Dr G said the baby has stopped growing and although he was not too concerned it was better to schedule an induction. So we were scheduled for the following Monday, October 27 to check into Lake East hospital. We did just that and began the process around 10pm. .
Things were moving pretty slow all day on Tuesday until about 6pm when Dr. G broke my water. Then the labor hit which was no fun. Within 25 mins I had the epidural and was feeling just about nothing. i say thank goodness for drugs but the little guy would disagree with me. The baby had a poor response to the epidural and by 7pm it was decided to avoid anymore spikes in his heartbeat to go to the or for a c-section delivery.

And at 7:25 pm our boy: Calvin Jay Clark Jr. was born!!! He weighed in at 4lbs 14.6 ozs and was 18inches long! He is def a peanut but checked out very healthy, no concerns at all.

Just to get an idea of his size, his torso was just about equal to the length of the tv remote control!!
